Toshiba JournE : A touch screen tablet

Toshiba has announced the launch of new multimedia touch-screen Mobile Internet Device called “JournE Touch”, which is its first touch screen tablet. It makes internet easily accessible while on a move or away from home.

It has a 7-inch screen and is a half-inch thick, its weight is less than one pound.

Behind the dominated touch screen there are ARM processor, integrated Wi-Fi, and Windows CE. It supports a wide range of codecs (H.264, DivX, WMV), 802.11b/g WiFi. Flickr, Picasa and YouTube services are also included in its plus point. It also gives access to internet explorer and msn messenger.

Win CE 6.0 Pro operating system gives easy-to-navigate user-interface, IE 6 ensures the high-quality mobile browsing on JournE Touch. Secure and high-speed web-browsing are made possible within reach of wireless network with the Wi-Fi 802.11b/g which supports WEP, WPA and WPA2.

Its battery provides 7 hours of audio playback, or 2 hours of internet browsing
